FaZe Clan’s Rain becomes longest serving CSGO player for a single-team

FaZe Clan’s Håvard “rain” Nygaard is now the longest-serving Counter-Strike player for a single team overtaking Elige’s stint of 3013 days for Team Liquid.

Back in 2016, FaZe Clan acquired the G2 roster to kick off their journey in CS esports, a team that rain was a part of. Over the years, FaZe Clan went through serious roster changes with the organization fighting to find some consistency, while they went on to achieve great things, it took them 8 years to bring home a major.

FaZe Clan had a different look to their team now and then as they were quick to make roster changes when results weren’t coming their way and through every iteration of the team, rain was a name that had been there since the inception and remains a pillar of consistency to this day.

Touted as one of the best riflers in the world back in the day, rain may not be a superstar unlike some of the names that have donned the FaZe colors in the past, however, he has proven on the biggest stages that he is capable of going toe to toe with the best of the best. During his tenure with FaZe, the Norwegian has picked up 4 MVPs, one of which came at the PGL Antwerp Major in 2022.

FaZe recently picked up IEM Chengdu.

As the clock ticks, rain hits 29 in 2024 but has shown little to no signs of slowing down, especially with FaZe picking up IEM Chengdu in remarkable fashion with rain being a consistent performer for them every step of the way. By the looks of things, rain will put on the FaZe jersey for a few more years while taking his record of most days on a single to a new height.
