How to Play Deadlock Early?

Unlock the Secrets to Joining Deadlock's Playtest

Valve’s unreleased hero shooter MOBA has been raking in much interest like it was in closed development. With tens of thousands already locked in deep into gameplay, it is undeniable that there is an appeal for this game. Securing a place in the exclusive playtest, however, has evaded most of the keen fans.

While the gaming giant has kept a tight lid on the project, word-of-mouth has propelled Deadlock into the spotlight. Such a mix of hero shooter and MOBA has drawn gamers, building up an increasing demand for access.

How Can You Play Deadlock Early?

Deadlock

There are currently two main ways open: directly by invitation from Valve or through the recommendation of a fortunate friend.

Valve seems to send out invitations randomly, like winning in a lottery. Given the millions of users on Steam, direct invites are pretty unlikely. Still, the company has been gradually releasing invites, so there is a glimmer of hope for hard-core players.

Those few who have a friend inside the playtest, however, can ask for a referral. While this doesn’t guarantee access, it shoots up your chances. Take note that any participant in the playtesting is allowed to invite his or her friends, so this might cause a snowball effect as more people get into the player base.

Beyond these two ways, there are little to no chances to participate in the playtesting of Deadlock. The title seems to be gaining popularity, so the chances of getting access may increase later, but for the time being, a huge deal of patience and maybe a bit of good luck are required if one is to engage in this mysterious title.
