Andreas Franck “Cr1t-” Nielsen is undoubtedly one of the greatest support players to ever lay hands on DOTA 2, and he keeps on proving why. The position 4 support from Evil Geniuses was streaming a game of Dota on Twitch when he demonstrated a beautiful play coming from his Rhasta, the shadow shaman.
Dota 2 is a game that’s renowned for its complex mechanics and an unbelievably high skill ceiling, and by seeing this 23 year old Danish pro in action we can certainly get an idea of exactly how high the ceiling can be.
Seven minutes into the game, Cr1t was trying to help out his Dragon Knight in middle by placing a ward at the top radiant jungle. The newly placed ward immediately detected an enemy Rubick walking towards middle but Cr1t, instead of running away calmly hid beside a tree, abusing the fog of war to escape the enemy’s vision. Simultaneously, he spotted the enemy midlaner, an Ember Spirit trying to take a stack of jungle creeps downhill. He still didn’t lose his calm and waited patiently just above the stairs so the Ember Spirit wouldn’t see him. Upon seeing the right opportunity, Cr1t proceeded slowly and hexed his foe, catching him completely off guard and finishing him in a single hit.
Solo killing the enemy midlaner as a support is no small task, but Cr1t made it seem easy as he walked away without a scratch after securing his team a huge networth advantage.
Cr1t is currently sitting just above 10k solo MMR and is ranked at immortal #1. The Twitch clip is currently rocking with almost ten thousand views as we can’t get enough of the brilliance of this man and his firm grasp on the mechanics of this beautiful game.
