Riot Games has revealed that Valorant Champions 2024 has broken the gameās all-time viewership peak ahead of the tournamentās grand finals.
In a recent X post, the devs highlighted that Valorant Champions 2024 has reached a concurrent viewer peak of 3.45 million, surpassing every other tournament to date.
As per data from Esports Charts, Champions 2024 has seen a viewer peak of 830,396 during the lower bracket showdown between Sentinels and Fnatic. However, the website only takes its data from certain streaming websites like Twitch, Kick, YouTube, Afreeca TV, and others.
Prior to this, the most-watched VCT event leading up to Valorant Champions 2024 was Masters Madrid. Riot Games reported that it achieved a peak concurrent viewership of 3.1 million, while Esports Charts recorded a peak viewership of 1.6 million for the event.
Riot Games’ efforts to incentivize viewership through Twitch Drops and in-game Pick’ems have undoubtedly contributed to the success of Champions 2024. By offering rewards for watching and engaging with the tournament, theyāve effectively boosted audience participation and interest.
With the grand finals of Champions Seoul still being a few days away, itās safe to say that the tournament is expected to surpass this milestone as well.
